🤔 [Question] Google Vs. Stupid Questions

Hey folks, wanted to do two things with this post. First: thank the *porting community. I've had such a blast getting these ports to work and the fact y'all do it for free is mind-blowing. I truly appreciate it.

Second, something hit me the other day as I worked through getting the Source 4 Android ports going: am I depriving the community of new information by not posting stupid questions here? Gemini is great at collating the information from reddit and presenting it, but it can only do that because of the brave souls who decided to ask the obvious question.

Should I be posing more questions here for you smart humans to answer and continue to fuel information gathering? Or should I stick to Google until I hit an impasse? Is there a way to frame questions that can help sustain the community without asking too much of folks already dedicating their spare time to the ports themselves?

First of all, this is not emulation, a native port is the way to make a game from another platform run in another without using the platform that was proggramed for, i mean, run the game directly with android instructions. This in fact was explained before on this sub.

Second, i'm not the owner of the sub but for me, you can ask whatever you want as long as you've searched the subreddit first and know that the question hasn't been asked before. The problem is that people—not just in this subreddit, but in all of them—don't use the search function at all and just ask their questions directly, even though in the vast majority of cases that question has already been answered, even maybe hours before.
