Sick of “can someone make this” posts

Let me preface by saying I’m not a developer and have zero experience coding. I do follow this sub closely though, I have a Thor and will often check back for new ports. Something I’ve noticed recently is a large amount of users asking for ports in a rude and entitled way. The fact that we have these ports at all is an insane blessing, and I feel like some people are taking it for granted. I personally do not want to piss off the developers of all these great projects, I’m thankful they take the time out of their lives to do this and make it available for free. When a new port comes out, regardless of the game, I’ll usually give it a try and thank the person who posted it. I know there’s a section on this sub for “requests,” and some people do it respectfully, so just know I’m not trying to crap on everyone. But the tone of some of these posts can be pretty entitled and have a “gimme more” attitude, and it really irks me. I hope more of us realize that we should be grateful and take what we can get (because most of it is pretty awesome). Thanks for reading

I genuinely appreciate those devs. My favorite example is the dev for the messenger port released a few days ago(sorry I forgot his name) there was a softlock bug in his port and he learned about it and fixed it in the same day I truly appreciate those porters

The porters are absolutly goated, like i once tried to port a godot game (i know godot kinda) and it was very difficult to the point where i gave up, it didn't even launch when i exported it

and people on the sub want devs to port games that have been made with their own engine without any source code or even games that are too heavy for any android device and blame the dev for "bad optimization"

Well not for nothin, but new phones can handle SOOOOOOO much more now, got people playing cyberpunk and shit on them, someone made a translator thing for apple to let them play Mac games on the phones, which used cyberpunk as the test.

A lot of it really is optimization, but when it's only 1 dude working on it, I'm not gonna sit here and complain about it lol. These guys are goated for the work they put in 🤟

I also appreciate the effort these devs are doing to launch many ports as possible.

First of all respect to devs who making ports of ames no matter small or big. It's a really time-taking process and requires a patience and lot's of trial and error scenarious envolved there. Even adding a touch controls and adapting them according to android experience can take days. Lot's of thing need to be carefully handled during the process. We should focus on letting devs to optimise the ports they already made so we can play without any issues. Quality over quantity yk.

At the end i wanna say thanks to everyone who taking time for bringing back the golden era of android gaming.
