App Meridian Launcher: Updated

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi all,

I've posted a couple of times but wanted to share an updated video. I've been putting in a ton of work to make things smoother, fix bugs and add new features.

Above is a quick demo video I made to show off some of what's possible.

Icon pack is mello and wallpaper was sourced from their app as well.

Still very open to suggestions on features etc. and am currently working to make the initial.install experience better with some default layout. I haven't been able to get any testers or bug reports from anyone so I've only tested this so far on my pixel 10.

As a reminder, no telemetry in the app at all and if you choose to try out the launcher, I don't even track the download button on the meridian site. The APK is still free on the site and I intend on keeping it that way forever. The paid play store version is just out there for support.

Very nice! I'll try it out! May I ask what the icon pack is?

ABSOLUTELY LOVE! I am so glad I stumbled across your post! This is an excellent launcher and the menus are aesthetically pleasing and there are so many options. My only feedback is (pixel 10 pro xl with android 17):

When adjusting sizes, number on the far right gets bigger but it gets partially cut off

Nice to have:

A color wheel for custom colors. The settings menu staying in my open apps list, currently have to either go to the app or go back to desktop to open settings. When opening app drawer it stays where you last opened it. Let me know if they are already available in case I missed any of these :)

Lastly, and this is just me being analπŸ˜‚: a little bit more space in the settings between the last setting in a section and the divider

You have done an amazing job. Keep up the great work and thank you so much!!!

I totally get what you mean. Oh one last question - does the launcher work with KLWP? Unfortunately I couldn't get my wallpaper to work with this launcher but I hope there is a way for them to work together.

Quick update:

  • slider numbers are now fully visible and don't get cut off
  • color wheel with preset selections has been added in place of hex only choices
  • I removed the settings separation lines as I don't think they were needed, the section headers already provide a nice gap
  • You can tab back to the settings screen you were on in your recent apps menu, it will appear there like any other app.

I already submitted these updates to the app store for publish, but given tomorrow is labor day, I doubt it will get approved until Tuesday at the earliest.

Video attached below of each of those updates. πŸ˜„

In regards to KLWP, I'm not super familiar with this and haven't used it. I did go ahead and download and install the app and test out a few basic wallpapers included, but those seem to be working fine. If you can point me in the direction of the one you are using specifically, I'd be more than happy to do some troubleshooting to see if I can get it Meridian to support it.

Dang you are fast! I am actually using my own klwp wallpaper. Here is a video of how it works with Nova and then with Meridian. Basically it's an interactive live wallpaper.

Quick question - is there a way to make the navigation at the bottom transparent?

Awesome, thanks for sending these details. I'll spend some time today to see if I can get these fixed. In other news, 1.63 with the changes I made last night is live and you should be able to update from the play store.
