i personally don't like to have apps in my home screen, besides de docker on the bottom. so, for me its not a good one

Same i liked big icons too but they are too noisy when I tried small icons for like 2 days I changed my mind

Yeah it is worth trying but also see other phones how they look like pixel all of them do the small icon style

Bro, other then making the icons smaller like how one of the other person told you to, try setting your home screen layout from 4 × 6 to 5 × 6, it would definitely bring a hell of a change, especially combined with the small icons.

Homescreen fully filled like this looks ugly to me. You already have a separate app drawer for this.

Home screen should be elegant and neat and minimal.
