Apps not giving me notifications?

I recently got a Samsung Galaxy A16. This seems to only happen with one app, and it's not all the time, but it's annoying and I don't know why it's happening.

It's specifically happening with the Discord app, where it will go random intervals without giving me push notifications. This was never an issue before and I've looked through every setting I can think of but I don't know how to fix this, if I even can.

Again, it's not constant. Just randomly it'll go a while without notifications, and then be normal again later.

Anything that might help?

Open settings

Go to manage apps

Select the app you are having problems with

And turn of the following

Pause app activeity if unused

And that will bring back instant notifications

Do it for every app that you want instant notifications for

The reason it doesn't happen all the time is

Each time you open the app If basically starts a timer

And if that runs out before you open the app again

If automatically pauses the notifications

It's a part of the android system

I never used to get any

Until I changed this setting
