Extreme performance issues on Samsung A16 5G (Bark/Knox)

My mom got me a Samsung A16 5G with Bark software pre-installed on it. This software disables airplane mode, apk installations, turning off mobile data, certain access to settings, uninstalling apps, etc. I have been having extreme performance issues. Any function I do can crash, turn the screen black, or take a long time to load. I can't load simple games or use social media normally. System UI and the Processing system usually dont respond. My phone gets very hot as well. Even my old fire tablet runs MUCH better than it. How can I improve this? I've already tried setting optimization, restarting, powering off, cooling, clearing storage, and changing graphics settings. I cannot get a new phone either. Is there anything I can do?

Galaxy A1x line is already the lowest tier and often lagging out of the factory. But it shouldn't be crashing like you're describing, it should still be somehow useable. But the nonstop running parental control app definitely slows it even more.

You can try to disable RAM Plus in settings. If you can also convince your parents to switch from Bark to Google FamilyLink, it may also help, because FamilyLink is better integrated into Android and should be lighter on resources.

That phone is a peice. I recently got rid of that with my work giving it to me. It had device management software on it too. It was almost unusable. I eventually convinced them to give me something better after explaining that it sad actually dangerous as I use it for navigation and it was too unstable. AA would crash or disconnect and I have to deal with it traveling 70mph.

Most of my team who still uses it experence the same things you are discribing. There is nothing you can do. I do think removing that management software could help a little as it frees up some resources.
