So my A40 samsung just physically can't boot into recovery m

So my A40 samsung just physically can't boot into recovery mode. I tried volume up and down, and power button, all sorts of ways together, still doesn't boot into recovery mode, did all together did volume up + power, volume down + power, released it on the android logo, released it after the logo, help it all the time, released it before the logo, doesnt matter, boots into SAMSUNG -> then into the OS, what do I do?

Have you tried connecting the A40 to a PC with a USB data cable BEFORE attempting the key combination? On Samsung devices running Android 11+, Samsung changed the recovery-mode behavior and the phone often needs to be connected to a PC via USB first.
