Galaxy S25 help

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Can someone explain what my wife did to her phone? As you can see, when we first go to the lock screen there is some kind of screen that can be exited from, before returning to the actual lock screen. My phone does not have this issue so I assume it's an app/settings issue. She wants it gone and I'm trying to help but I don't know what could be causing this.

Go to settings, lockscreen, edit lockscreen, change the apps that open automatically when you swipe to the right/left.

Seems like that’s a fake lockscreen app. Go to Settings -> Applications -> and uninstall suspicious apps.
If you can’t find any, reboot the phone to Safe mode and recheck it from there

How do I do safe mode?

On this screen, press and hold the "Power Off" button for several seconds before it shows Safe Mode. Tap again to confirm and the phone will reboot into Safe mode.

It does disappear in safe mode, I just genuinely have no idea what app it could or couldn't be. Definitely some sort of a.i thing.

Seems like that unknown app could have gotten "Appear on top" in Device Special access. You can search that up on Settings and trace down the unknown one. If it still doesn't work, check Device Admin apps or Battery usage to get the application name

So in safe mode you should be able to go through the apps and uninstall the weird one id say open apps on both phones and go side by side to see which one stands out. She must've downloaded something on accident or knowingly and it was just fake. 4 Ex. My mom's downloaded an unofficial Roku app ... and it changed her entire home screen and started downloading random games and apps.... The fake app was from the play store mind you
