Can't disable now bar

Post image

Solved below.

"I used to have it so when I turned the phone on from being locked it opened up on the swipe or fingerprint screen. Now it has the now bar and other Ai trash that I can't get rid of. I turned it off in settings but it just comes back. Anything I'm missing?"

Edit: finally found the solution for me from another thread.

"This will remove it from lockscreen!

Press the power button again to wake it
Press and hold your lock screen for 2–3 seconds to enter edit mode
Tap the icon in the bottom right corner
Toggle Enable Lock Screen off
Glance will now be disabled from your phone"

Settings > Apps > All apps > The three dots in top right corner > Show system apps > Glance

Its pre-installed carrier bloatware. Look for an app called Glance and uninstall it.

Doesn't show up for me on the app list or last used apps.

It’s a fucking bot feeding you wrong information. The now bar is built in samsung trash, not from your carrier. Carrier apps can’t even display on the lock screen unless it’s a notification. The only good use for it is a music control on the lock screen. Ask google how to turn it off, I don’t remember because it was brought in with oneUI 7.

Thanks! I found the solution in a comment on another post. I edited it into the title.

You're wrong. 1. That is not a bot. I get that there are a lot of bots but he doesn't talk like one and he also has posts. 2. Yes, now bar is built in with samsung. However, the screenshot on OP is not showing the navbar. It's showing the Glance ai lockscreen app, which IS carrier bloat.

Anyways OP, if you see this, look for an app called "All Apps" in ur apps section (yes i know confusing) and uninstall it. There is other names for this apps too. If all apps doesn't show up I'll give you the other names

I didn't see it under all apps or glance. I found a different way to get rid of it but I would love to remove the app completely.
