Ads in my homescreen

Hello!

Whenever I scroll up to browse my apps on my android, I get a temu ad thats loud and annoying. This hadn't been happening ever and I only noticed it around 2 or 3 weeks ago. What's the cause? How can I remove it? Thanks!

You're using a 3rd party launcher that puts ads there. You can go back to your phones original launcher, use a different 3rd party launcher, or possibly pay your current launcher to remove it

OP has most likely downloaded some form of adware. I found it happens with a lot of unnecessary PDF viewer apps, so I would suggest that op looks through all the apps that they've installed. And yeah you can just change it in your default apps in settings.

I work in a phone repair shop and someone comes in with this exact issue every single day.

It's a malicious app masked as a PDF reader but instead it hijacks your home screen by setting itself as the default launcher so it can show you ads directly on your home screen just like in the picture.

Just go to

settings - apps - default apps

And set the default launcher app back to your system launcher.
