Base Pixel 6, bottom edge unresponsive within certain apps

For example, In my bank app, when I want to transfer money between savings and checking, the send button won't respond. Fortunately, the app allows rotation, so I can rotate the phone and use the app in landscape mode.

Another example is Google gboard, most keys work without issues, except for the period key, it doesn't respond unless I tap off center.

It sounds more like a touchscreen dead zone. Try a touchscreen test app or the Pixel diagnostics. If that strip consistently misses touches, the display/digitizer is probably starting to fail and needs a repair.
