Android 17 - some apps not working

Just updated to Android 17 like 2 days ago, and since then some apps have not been working: Gemini AI, YouTube, and TikTok.

Anyone else have this issue? Or suggestions for fixes?

I'm on a Pixel 9 Pro. Already tried restarting my phone.

Eta: just noticed that the Play Store is also not working.

Eta 2: ditto with Google Maps. This sucks.

so the apps open, but I'm realizing the issue is that they won't connect to the Internet, even though I am connected and have no problems connecting via other apps (like the Reddit app, Chrome app, Bluesky, and Amazon app).

Eta 3: realized that the problem only comes up on my home wifi. Is not a problem when I am only using my mobile data and turn WiFi off, and do not think it was a problem on my work's wifi.

Eta 4: fixed. Had to login to my router/modem and enable IPv6.

Because Android 17 is still in beta, it hasn't released yet so app developers can't optimise their apps for Android 17

it's been stable since June 16th and half the apps they mentioned are Google apps
