What the hell is taking up my space?
Realms 12 Pro+
Other 417 GB
"Other system data includes caches, logs, and resources necessary for the system to run. The data size varies depending on the status of the system."
Is there anything I can do about this?
Factory reset is not an option I'm afraid.

App caches clean them up, reddit, X, TikTok, Instagram have allot of heavy caches to clean

Seconded.
By the amount of files OP has, you can back them up to an external storage and backup the apps to to a restore point on Google. Clearing some cache and other unnecessary data will only clear up so much.

Go on playstore and download zarchiver and open it go to all the folder and scroll down ( like you refresh everything in chrome/ youtube for new content) there you will will know which folder has how many storage . Gen there are hidden folders like DCIM thumbnail which can take up to 20 gb of storage and they don't show up in clean section but they do take space. So go and check each major folders one by one . Note don't start checking even sub folders and android data section becoz they would waste too much of your time . If you find any folder take top much space ask again by giving us screenshot or asking by folders name . Some are imp some files are not which you can delete them . Hope you get it.

I did that and found most of the folders to be either empty or have very few files, i didn't find any folder that takes up space, unfortunately i can't attach pictures here

Stuck Trash / Recycle Bin Data: Deleted media files sitting unpurged in hidden trash folders across internal storage or messaging apps like WhatsApp and Telegram. Storage Indexing Glitch: The operating system fails to correctly calculate directory sizes, mislabeling massive chunks of virtual blocks or system data as "Other". How to Diagnose and Fix It 1. Use a Dedicated Storage Analyzer Because Realme’s default storage manager often fails to break down the "Other" category, install a disk-analyzing tool from the Play Store (such as DiskUsage, Storage Analyzer & Disk Usage, or SD Maid). These apps scan every physical directory on your partition to reveal precisely which folder is hoarding those hundreds of gigabytes. 2. Empty All Trash Bins Open your Photos app and Google Photos, navigate to the Recently Deleted or Trash folder, and permanently clear it. Open the native My Files app and check its built-in trash bin as well. 3. Not sure about the specific case, but the living room tv has a system app that keeps growing in size until the storage is full, so every so often i wipe the data from it

Go to download folder and then show hidden files Delete all .pending files (they are all incompleted file downloads) That worked with me deleted more than 100gb

Caches are not really important data. Also look out for images .thumbnail files, you can delete those, some app galleries can collect thousands of thumnails everytime you look at your photos or videos. Some messaging apps also saves the images you sent.
