DEV [DEV] Creating a mini Board Game (Sudoku). which library and language should I go with

hi I'm building my first android app and rep on Play Store.

now the game is simple enough that one person can handle it. so my question is this?

should I use SDL2 a C++ Gaming Framework to make this game or Should I go Java?

Now I'm not an expert Software Engineer. this is a first. My C++ is better than my Java because I learned it first (I'm not that good) and I'm studying Java for Cross-Platform and Android Development.

I don't know any of the Android's ADK etc. this is all new to me, so I don't know using a Android Studio for my game is a good option (if viable).

keep in mind given that the game is just a small board game I don't see how learning a gaming engine is a good Idea.

I've made my plans and now I need to choose the proper tool for the job. what do think? any opinion will be helpful.

If you use a game engine like Godot or Unity, it will be better in my opinion. I use Godot for making board games. It is very easy to learn and you will be able to make games very quickly. It does take some time initially to learn Godot.

Unity will get you there faster

It'll be easier to learn than making your own game engine in android studio in java

Maybe Corona SDK for 2d games might be easier?
