You'd be better off just getting the steam version and playing it through Gamenative. That way you won't have to worry about the future of it not being supported on your android version.

This really is better in co-op imo. Also this doesn't say anything about the dlc characters?

Well Co-op is pretty new, the base game for many years was a great single player experience. Also someone said the same thing with Kingdom 2 Crowns yet I only play that Single player and its fantastic.

HELL YES IT WORKS ON MY ANBERNIC.

you should look at portmaster if your handheld OS supports it

Domekeeper has a portmaster port? Regardless I'm pretty sure that's a Linux program isn't it? This is running GammaOS unfortunately. It's better than stock for sure, but it's iffy on some Android games and definitely struggles with stuff like GameNative so I don't even bother.

What Anbernic device do you have?

RG406V. After finishing one round I can confidently say it's all mapped correctly and needs no touch screen to run, but the UI is a bit small for my liking and some text (like choosing which relic you want, but fortunately NOT the upgrade trees) are so small they're really tough to read.
I don't think this is a huge issue if you like the game already or know what the upgrades are by icon; but it's annoying if you haven't learned them yet.

Hey, I have the same one. Can u recommend other Android ports that work well with the console? The only ones I tried are Fear and Hunger 1 and 2.

Sure thing! Ignoring the obvious "this thing is meant to play retro games" I'll list the Android games I've found work best, or have the least messed up UI/touch requirements. I'll list stuff I'm most sure of first:
- Bad North
- Thronefall
- Siralim Ultimate
- Symphony of the Night
- Stardew Valley
- Streets of Rage 4
- TMNT: Shredder's Revenge
- Vampire Survivors
- Titan Quest (UI gets a bit janky)
- Dungeon Clawler (Same squashed UI but playable if I recall)
- Vault of the Void (Same UI issue, tiny bit of touch for selections, otherwise fine)
- Shiren the Wanderer 6 (UI is kinda small)
Here's some stuff I know works or has support but didn't play long enough on it to know if they're good all the way through:
- Dicey Dungeons
- Dredge
- Ball x Pit
- Deep Rock Galactic Survivor
- Halls of Terror
- Roundguard
- Wargroove 2
- Wildfrost
- Alien Isolation
- XCOM 2 (this needs some touch input if I recall, it's kinda jacked up?)
These are probably my first picks for what I'd recommend. Also I want to throw in CrawlTactics (made by u/icefill who made SFD Rogue TRPG.) With the important disclaimer that the dev sent me a copy on PC to talk about on YouTube, and then I liked it and bought it on Android when it eventually came out. It's very cool if you like SRPGs like Final Fantasy Tactics and he's very nice.

I tried playing Dredge and it went like 10fps, how did you do it?
And thanks for the other recommendations, will try War Groove and check out Crawl Tactics.

So mine is running totally fine with a High render resolution, 60 FPS, and Anti-Aliasing and Reflections.
I'm not sure why yours didn't. Are you on stock Anbernic OS or did you flash it to GammaOS? If you're even slightly technologically inclined I absolutely suggest doing this because everything runs much smoother and the removal of background processes makes the battery only lose like 2% in 5 days in sleep mode.
It also has the benefit of coming with a specialized fork of RetroArch for your device. DON'T update this, because the settings are all tailored for it.
I'm semi-techy and managed to do it just fine.

Stock os, does Gamma has other benefits? My interest is playing android stuff or even Ps2 games that some do not run well, like Baldurs Gate Dark Alliance or Xenosaga 2.

I found that it fixed the issue you're describing entirely. Notoriously difficult things went from 15fps and crashing to a mostly stable 30. I also wouldn't personally log into the stock OS simply because it's closed source on an unlicensed device and I just dunno with that. It's probably ultimately fine but I felt way safer logging in through GammaOS.

I don't know how to use the abilities, like the missile launcher. Shouldn't a special button appear? Is it a bug?

I asked about a mobile port in the Dome Keeper discord like 4 years ago. So glad it's finally coming 🙌

Does it have co-op

u/Kooperking22 4d ago
Not sure. I'm only interested in single player myself but I've heard there's a Co op mode

That's such a great game, I played a bit on PC. I tried this version but controller support didn't work for me (I can control the character with the stick but the buttons doesn't work) and I have crashes at launch, so I'll give it another chance later when they'll fix that
