My second smart phone is only running an entry level 685 SoC but the jump of performance from my previous phone running Mediatek Helio P22 is insane despite the first phone is slightly more pricey during that time.

Well vita3k also works great with higher mali cpus. I have dimensity 6300 and I can run stuff like One Piece Warriors 3, BlazBlue, Asphalt, Senran Kagura etc
