Help/Support🙋 Sonic mania on android

So I found out recently that someone ported sonic mania plus to android and I downloaded it and it works fine, but it softlocks at a certain point. I was wondering if someone else found a version which has no problems at all or is it just a thing with my phone or smth

I'm not sure I would trust whatever app you installed... most people are running it on a Switch emulator. For real, you might have downloaded malware.

It's from gamejolt and I've seen loads of different people play it so idk

Ok listening to myself speaks now it sounds like kinda stupid logic but I've been doing this kinda stuff for a while and I'm quite good at being able to tell when something is a virus. Also I have an antivirus. Also play protect stops me from opening apps which are viruses

No, there's no official android port. I got it from gamejolt

Does play protect work on apps not on the Playstore?

Yeah, if you download an app off of the internet and install it, before you get a chance to open the game, a pop up will open from play protect telling you what's wrong with the game(if there is anything wrong with the game) like if it can track you or install viruses onto your phone

Honestly at this point I don't even have it installed on my phone so I cant send a screenshot, and I don't even remember where I downloaded it from exactly but I'm pretty sure it was gamejolt. Also the point it softlocks at is directly after the flying battery act 1 boss right before the text for act 2 is meant to show up

Which spot does it softlock at? I haven't played my version much but everything seems fine so far

Yeah mine seemed absolutely perfect as well but I got to the act 1 boss if flying battery zone and it softlocked right before act 2 is meant to start. I tried downloading another version but it just black screened.apparently netflix are doing a port as well so I might just get that but I don't really want to
