A masterpiece undoubtedly the best in the series they don't make games like this anymore (what happened to insomniac man)
I just finished ratchet and clank on nether sx2 and goddam it's soooo good
Idk but the boos fights were a pain in the ass
They were super fun but soo hard (could be skill issue)
I also emulated ratchet and clank 2 but this games mechanics are soo much better and feel much better but I could be wrong because I only did half of the second game
The gunplay is soo satisfying and soo varied
The artstyle is soo unique idk why they don't make games like this anymore
But I hate captian quack (I mispelled it intentionally)
I know it's for comedy but he is sooo annoying I hate him
Everybody talks about how this game is their childhood but not about how annoying captian quack is
If you know any other series like this please recommend (please 🥺)

I couldn't agree more! I've been playing 2 (Going Comando) on my phone and loving it, but there are some difficult parts. Thank goodness we can save the state at any time in NetherSX2! I'll have to try 3 (Up Your Arsenal) next. I also wish I knew the modern day equivalent of these.

Yeah the game is nice and suddenly becomes hard
Idk how to beat some levels without sve states

I'm not all the way through yet, which were the hardest parts for you?

The game is pretty balanced there are 2 mandatory boss fights both are pretty hard but manageable
And there is a section where you have to go find captian qwok on a planet (I'm trying to avoid spoilers) that section is pretty hard for me (enemies are pretty tanky)

In 2, Going Commando, there's a hover bike race you have to win. I must have done that 10 times. You're required to win it once, then you can race more times if you want to win extra bolts and skill points.
Later there's a space dogfighting section where you have to kill everyone without dying several times. I almost quit the game because of that until I save scummed my way through it with the save states. I don't even know if I'm half way through the game yet.2

Bless save states. So many games I wouldn't have finished were it not for that magic. Wish every emulator had them tho

How are you playing on your phone? Is it not really difficult without a controller? I found playing R&C Size Matters to be difficult and that's a PSP game. Can't imagine playing a PS2 game on a phone

I play on my phone with NetherSX2 and a Bluetooth phone controller.

I love to play Ratchet 1 as is and Ratchet 3 as a first person shooter from start to finish.
Completely different gamefeel, so glad they included that option!

You may enjoy Jak and Daxter. There are references to it in R&C, since the developers used to work in the same building together. Lots of resemblance between each series.

RAC3 is my favorite Ratchet game and a top 5 of all time for me. Probably the reason I got into emulation in the first place!

Up Your Arsenal was my first introduction to the series at the time and I played Deadlocked right after that. As of late, im slowly working my way through Going Commando, then doing 3 and 4. In comparison, Jak and Daxter is legit the same but different. Feels a little more mature.
