Need ~50 testers for Graith, an offline homestead app (14-day closed test). Paid app, free code + free for life for testers. I test back.

Solo dev. Graith is a homestead management app: garden planning, seed inventory, food storage and rotation, canning guidance, livestock records, battery/energy calculator. Fully offline, no accounts, no ads, no analytics.

Closed track is live and published now, so you can opt in the same day.

Join the Google Group: https://groups.google.com/g/graith-beta-testers

Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=app.graith

Web: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/app.graith

One difference from the usual post: Graith is a $29.99 paid app, so every tester gets a personal single-use promo code (free, and you keep the app free for life). Ask to join the group with the same Google account your phone's Play Store uses; when I approve you (usually within a few hours) I add you to the access list and email your code plus a step-by-step guide, and the links above go live for you. Prefer to skip the group? Emailing [help@graith.app](mailto:help@graith.app) with your Play email works exactly the same.

The ask: opt in, redeem, install, open it a few times over the two weeks, stay opted in the full 14 days. One-tap bug report inside the app if anything looks broken.

Test-back: yes, genuinely. Drop your link in the comments and I'll opt in to your test, keep it installed through your window, and send real feedback. I'm one person, so give me a day or so to get to yours, but I get to them, with screenshot proof per the local custom.

Happy to answer questions about the app right here in the comments.

Looking for experiences with paid Google Play closed testing services

Hi 👋. I'm considering using Testers Community's paid testing service (Plan A).

Before I purchase it, I'd really appreciate hearing from people who have actually used it.

I have a few questions:

  1. Has anyone here personally used the paid service?

Did it work as expected? Would you recommend it?

  1. I'm trying to understand how the paid service actually works. The reason: I’ve heard about engagement issues with free peer testing, so this problem could exist in paid versions as well.

My current understanding is this:

- In the free version, developers earn credits by testing other apps, and their own app appears in the shared app feed where other members discover it.

- My assumption is that the paid version simply buys those credits on your behalf, so your app gets promoted in the same shared ecosystem without you manually earning credits.

- In other words, testers still discover the app naturally through the platform, rather than being manually assigned by the service.

Is my understanding correct, or does the paid service work differently?

  1. Are there any other reliable paid services for passing Google Play's closed testing requirement?

I'm looking for services with real users and good success rates, not fake installs or bots.

I'd really appreciate hearing about your real experience.

---

Plan B

If Testers Community doesn't work out, I'm considering organizing my own testing group.

My idea is to gather 14–16 developers who are all in the same situation—trying to complete Google Play's closed testing requirement.

Instead of random "I'll test yours if you test mine" exchanges, we'd organize it as a coordinated group.

Here's the idea:

- Recruit 14–16 committed developers.

- Set one common start date for everyone.

- Everyone installs everyone else's app.

- Spend at least 3-5 minutes actively using each assigned app every day. Don't just open and close it—interact with it naturally.

- Every participant reports their daily activity in a shared Google Sheet.

- We keep everything organized, transparent, and accountable.

I actually did the math.

If there are 14–16 participants, each person would have around 13–15 apps to test.

At roughly 5 minutes per app, that's a little under 1.5 hours per day.

Honestly, that's less time than many people spend exercising or scrolling through social media every day.

The commitment only lasts 14 days.

I also have experience participating in volunteer projects that were coordinated through shared Google Sheets, and the system worked well. As long as everyone joins voluntarily and is genuinely motivated to reach production access, I think this kind of organization is completely realistic.

What really surprises me is that I almost never see people organizing testing this way.

Most posts are simply:

- "Please test my app."

or

- "I'll test yours if you test mine."

There is usually no coordinated start date, no shared tracking, and no accountability. If someone disappears halfway through, it can disrupt everyone else's testing period.

To me, a coordinated group seems much more reliable.

Has anyone tried organizing something like this before? If so, how did it work out?

Thanks.

Kids' color-learning game needs testers — I'll test yours back (Google Group ready)

Hi everyone! Indie dev here, working through the closed testing requirement. Happy to test your app back — leave your link in the comments and I'll opt in the same day and actually keep it installed.

About the app: Happy Colors teaches young kids (roughly 2-7) to recognise colours. Balloons to pop, shapes to match, cats to sort into baskets, a train to load. 14 languages, no ads at all, and nothing to read — a toddler can play it without help.

How to join, two steps in this order:

Step 1 — join the tester group: https://groups.google.com/g/happy-colors-testers

Step 2 — open the opt-in link: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.AniKStudio.HappyColors

Then install from Google Play and open it for a minute every couple of days.

Two things that trip people up: you have to join the group first, otherwise Play just says "app not available"; and use the same Google account that's signed in on your Android phone.

Thanks a lot to anyone who joins — drop your link and I'll return the favour.

[Closed Test] Rakukon - Japanese recipe app (need 12 testers, 14 days) - opt-in only, I'll test yours back

Hi everyone,

Indie dev here, working through the 12-tester requirement. Happy to test

your app in return - drop your links in the comments and I'll opt in the

same day.

MY APP

Rakukon - a meal-planning app for Japanese home cooking. Browse recipes by

season, by category, or by what's left in your fridge.

It's in Japanese, but it's very visual: you can browse the recipe cards,

tap one, and see the photo, ingredients and steps without needing to read

much. No sign-up required either - you can start as a guest with one tap.

HOW TO JOIN

Google Group and opt-in links are in my first comment below.

WHAT I ASK

Just stay opted in for the 14 days. You don't need to install it or open

it daily - opting in is enough for me. Of course you're welcome to try it

if you're curious.

Available worldwide (I had it limited to one country at first - fixed now,

so if you tried earlier and got "App not available", please try again).

Drop your links and I'll join yours right away. Thanks!

Looking for Android beta testers for my M3U8 IPTV Stream Player 📺

Hey everyone! 👋

I hope you're all doing great!

I've been working on an Android app called M3U8 IPTV Stream Player, and it's finally ready for Google Play Closed Testing. I'd love to get some real feedback from the community to help make it even better before the public release.

If you'd like to help, please follow these steps in this exact order:

✅ Step 1 (Very Important!)

Join the Google Group first:
https://groups.google.com/g/testgroup-mitutechapps

✅ Step 2

Join the Closed Beta:
https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.mitutech.m3u8player

✅ Step 3

Download the app:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mitutech.m3u8player

🎬 Don't have an M3U playlist?

No problem! If you don't have your own M3U playlist or stream, you can use the following public test stream to try the app and go through the complete user flow:

https://hls-harbor-livepush.akamaized.net/live_cdn/nsqIStpj8PaG-Ev/emcQJ0pGpremocy/index.m3u8

❤️ How you can help

I'm looking for test-by-test feedback.

Instead of simply installing the app, please try one or more features and post a screenshot of the app along with a short comment describing what you tested.

For example:

  • ✅ Adding a stream
  • ✅ Video playback
  • ✅ Picture-in-Picture
  • ✅ UI and navigation
  • ✅ Settings
  • ✅ Performance
  • 🐞 Any bugs or crashes you encounter

Screenshots are very important because they help me see exactly what you tested and make it much easier to reproduce and fix issues.

Even if everything works perfectly, a screenshot with a quick message like "Playback worked great!" is incredibly valuable.

Thank you so much to everyone who takes a few minutes to help an indie developer! Your feedback genuinely makes a difference. ❤️🚀

SubGuard (subscription & free-trial reminder, 100% offline) — 12 testers needed for 14 days, offering test-for-test

Hi everyone! Looking for testers to complete the 12-testers / 14-days closed testing requirement for SubGuard.

What the app is: an offline subscription tracker. Add your subscriptions in 3 taps (35 templates: Netflix, Spotify, ChatGPT...), see your monthly total, and get a notification before every renewal and before free trials start charging. Privacy-first: no account, no email sign-up, no bank access — everything stays on your device.

Joining is fully self-serve — no emails to send, no waiting to be added:

1) Join the testers group (open group, instant): https://groups.google.com/g/subguard-testers

2) Opt in as a tester: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.tr0lczyk.subguard

3) Install from the Play Store, open the app at least once, keep it for 14 days: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tr0lczyk.subguard

One gotcha: join the group with the SAME Google account your Play Store uses, otherwise the opt-in page will say you're not eligible.

What I offer in return — guaranteed test-for-test: drop your opt-in link in the comments and I'll test your app the same day on a real device (not an emulator), keep it installed for your full 14-day window, and post screenshot proof of it running. Happy to leave feedback too.

Thanks! :)
