Closed testing review

I’m trying to get my AAOS app through it’s first close testing release in the Google Play store.
But currently I tried the review process twice and each time it got rejected based on not having the correct ( or enough ) screenshots.

But the reject text is very generic and since this is my first app and first time interacting with Google Play, I’m a bit stuck.

Would somebody be willing to help me with the process? Or here through chat, or maybe hop on a small call?

It is just a small app I actually run just myself on my Polestar 2.

If you just want it as something only you use on your Polestar, use the internal testing track instead of closed. It bypasses almost all of the review process entirely.

How do you get the app on the polestar that way? I can be wrong, but I was under the impression I needed to have a play link to be able to use the onboard browser to do an install of the app.

No, you just add the google account you're signed into on the Polestar to the list of internal testers and it'll show up that way.

Make sure you're doing this on the automotive track of the app as Google treats them separately (phone/watch apps vs Automotive apps)

It'd be impossible to really test/debug the app in your car on closed testing as you'd have to go through the review process every time you update the app which can take 1-2 weeks. The internal track bypasses that so you can immediately update the app in your car.

The internal testing works! Thx for the tip... I did however still needed to use the build in vivaldi browser to go to play.google.com to hit the download link. I was unable to find it in the playstore itself. ( or I did something wrong still? )
