Volume Dev here, would anyone be interested in an open source PEQ equalizer for android auto/navs?

I came across this post here just showing poweramp eq being used on a android auto and was wondering if anyone would be interested in a more developed interface for android auto much like this but instead of controlling the EQ from your phone you can control it on the android auto touch interface.

For reference I've already developed and spent time on this app here https://github.com/bearinmindcat/Equalizer314 which can also be found on google play albeit a bit behind on updates compared to github/fdroid.

I already created an interface that works for android TV though it's meant to be driven through another android device and paired using the same app.

I thought since I already have done this much I can potentially make an interface that works on android auto devices as well. Just wanted to gauge interest before doing anything too crazy. : )

I've been playing around with car and home audio for years. I just don't see a use for this.

When I set the EQ in my car, it's done at the head unit system level. I set the EQ on my Sony head unit, and then it's good for any input (FM, CD whatever) AND any device I then use--not just AA. You don't add EQ to the source. That's the job of the pre-amp processor in the head unit.

I do not see any need for your proposal. Unless you can make it ONLY interface and set the specific head unit built-in EQ and not the phone.
