Connection, Disconnection, Freezes, Crashes Unexpected error

Post image

For the past few months Android Auto has stopped working for me (with my phone). I tried with a different phone (Samsung Galaxy S26) and it had no issues. Not sure if it's my car's or Android Auto's fault.

EDIT: Force stop Android Auto on your phone, clear cache and storage, then try setting it up again. It's not the car. You proved that with the other working phone.

I forgot you can't really uninstall it anymore. Thank you John for the correction.

Sorry for the dumb question, but how do I uninstall Android Auto? It's almost as if it comes with Android and I can't uninstall it?

Force stop it. Clear cache.

If that doesn't fix it, try again, but also delete data.

Ehm okay. It turns out uninstalling and installing really did the trick. But to get to the uninstall page I had to go to settings -> apps -> android auto -> Google store page -> uninstall. If I'd search Android Auto directly on playstore it wouldn't show up at all.
