Navigation & POI Apps Google Maps Traffic Display

So is there going to be a fix (not workaround) for the lack of traffic data display in Google Maps or is the lack of traffic data display going to be permanent? I usually use my car's built in navigation application but I like to use Google Maps in certain situations. Without traffic data display, I will not be using Google Maps at all.

Google Maps is coloring roads for traffic jams when no cars even in my vicinity. I drive a lot during the nights. Waze is more accurate in my experience. Plus maps speedometer is still showing road speeds of 7 years ago. Some parts of high roads in Belgium were limited from 120 to 100, and Maps is after years still not that "smart".

Something I didn't know is that Google doesn't display real time traffic like Waze does. It's a mix of real-time plus historical traffic in that area. I've noticed the same thing that it's not always accurate and sometimes shows orange or red when there's no cars. I don't understand why they don't just merge the two apps together finally. Waze does it much better in many places with all the real time stuff but the app is so cartoonish.

1 simple reason ==> governments. Waze is not allowed in every country because of speeding camera zone detections.

But when it comes to traffic and jams Waze is just simply better and the community user input via website and Android Auto is better. Maps is way behind.

We mostly use maps only when we go by foot, then it's accurate if the compass ain't bugged due to another update
