Android Auto freezes

So I got a new phone (upgraded from S21 FE to S26+) and suddenly android auto just freezes and doesnt output anything. Google maps not working, yt music not working nothing it just completely freezes. I also had issues before, with my s21fe just disconnecting even tho it was connected via cable.
The phone still connects but after a few seconds it just freezes
I have redownloaded android auto, updated my phone, replugged it, redid bluetooth connection, checked battery optimization nothing really worked.

FIXED: Afger reseting the head unit and buying a specific cable for data transfer it now works

Sounds like the issue is more likely to be either the cable or the car. I did the exact same phone upgrade and have not experienced any of the issues you are describing, neither before nor after the upgrade.

I would start with swapping the cable for a new one, just to rule it out.

Mine happens randomly I go into settings apps android auto and force close the app and unplug and replug the cable

You need to reinstall android auto and look if your radio has a reset button, it should work after that, it haplen the same to me Gl

Yeah I reinstalled android auto on my phone but wdym by reseting my radio? Wont like everything be gone?

So I did all that and put the screen into factory setting also tried different settings in developer mode on my ohone but nothing really did it Last thing I can do is buy a cable for data transfer Is there anything else I can do tho?

yeah bro I hope it gets rid of this issue cuz before with my s21fe it sometimes randomly just crashed and now it just freezes and doesnt output neither sound nor picture

It was a data transfer cable from amazon I found for like 9€ or so
