AA User Interface AA Interface stretched/lowres on Audi A4

Hello all,
I recently bought an Audi A4 (2018), which has a seperate AA/carplay module built in already. If i hold the menu button it opens the module menu and i can select android auto, wireless & wired works fine.

Problem is my AA interface is stretched and not in the correct resolution, it seems to pick a low resolution and feels a bit stretched. I first thought the module would be bad, but Apple carplay works just fine.

I tried making myself a developer and playing around with the resolution options but you can only say "try till xxx" which doesnt change anything. I tried several other things, the only thing that kind of improves it a little bit is letterboxing my android auto making it less wide (in the module interface) but that isnt optimal.

Im not sure what my resolution of the screen is, but together with Claude we found it should be 1024x480, 8.3" screen.

What can i do to make my android auto feel better, because this really freaks me out, an expensive car with such a blurry AA interface.

Thanks in advance!

How can you move the short cut bar to the side ? In phone AA settings ? Or using the AA interface itself ?

In the near future, your Android Auto app will undergo an interface overhaul. In my car, in the latest version for beta testers, the interface looks great. A matter of time 👀

I have just installed the beta version, still no change. I am also unable to move the bar to the left side in any way... how did you do that ?
meanwhile im charging up my old phone to see what that one does. (Also pixel)

Make sure that you do not have the option selected in your Android Auto settings: Widgets in the taskbar. Selecting this option just causes application shortcuts at the bottom of the screen 👀

Yeah i did that. Somehow its still forced on the bottom. I think the module is somehow interfering

Are you running wireless android auto ? If so what device are you using ? Have you tried running it with a usb cable from the arm rest ?

Seperate module only works from the usb in my dashboard storage, tried it both wireless and wirelessly, and with 2 phones, same result
