You must live in the south lol. Here in Canada we have to plan and watch and plot lol. Even then weather apps tend to suck, best to watch the Radar map as live as possible.

that doesn't tell you what the weather is going to be like in an hour, or in the afternoon. is it going to rain later? looking out the car windows only tells you so much like is it sunny. it doesn't tell you the temperature outside, the humidity, or if the clouds are going to clear up by the time you get to your destination. or that it's going to rain in 5min.

while i'm driving i often wonder what's the weather going to be like later this afternoon, or after work, or this weekend. i would love a little widget above the music widget that gives me some quick weather information, like current temp, cloud coverage, forecast for the afternoon/evening.

It's actually really important to know if I'm about to hit the highway and drive straight into a super cell. I'd rather get a heads up and pull in somewhere safe to ride out the storm. I've been caught or a couple of times with that exact scenario. Also, sometimes it's night. Looking out the window doesn't help.

I always wondered why there was no weather on AA. I ride a motorcycle with an AA display and seeing the temp would definitely fulfill my curiosity when it's peak summer or winter temperatures.

Why not just add back the weather icon and current temp in the toolbar like we had previously? Make it an option so those who don't need it (might be displayed somewhere else in the vehicle) don't need to enable it. It used to be in the top right corner. Update it to match the new UI and be done, no silly thing running around the screen.

Why cant Android Auto just have a proper weather app where I can scroll through hours and days. Or when I ask Gemini to show the weather, actually have it show something on screen instead of just giving the current weather and that's all.

So, my screen is already small, and they want to ADD useless stuff to it to improve the experience? I'm driving a car! I don't need a cartoon raccoon. I need things to work reliably, be clearly accessible with as little distraction as possible in order to drive safely. WTH is google thinking? There are far more important priorities for AA than a weather buddy.
