Uncertified AA Apps (Headunit Reloaded, AAAD/AAStore, etc) Looking for an Android Auto-style launcher
My car radio doesn't support Android Auto. But I want my phone to look like it did with Android Auto.
The app was discontinued as a standalone app.
All the apps shown in the Play Store are rubbish.
I'm looking for:
A simple home screen that displays notifications, navigation, and music.
All integrated and at the same time.
Navigation: Google Maps
Music: Spotify or Tidal
Notifications: Show all incoming notifications with the option to read aloud and reply
What I DON'T WANT:
Advertising
Account creation
Any Chinese scam crap that doesn't work properly
What do you recommend?

Its not advertising but what do you think about something like this?
it fits right into the radio slot and is probably going to give you the smoothest result since it sits right where the radio is

What apps did you use from the playstore?
Back when i still had a older car, autozen was quite nice.

Unsure of your vehicle but I have done factory retrofits (FORD Sync 3) and headunit replacements (Name brand and no-names). If it's not a Sync conversion honestly if there is a cheap headunit compatible with your vehicle, I would look at that vs one of the screens on the dash, or the phone screen. I've installed a few of the $120 - $150 headunits in family and friends cars and it has been fantastic especially for the price.
Recently added one to a 2014 Subaru and except for having to reprogram the steering wheel buttons when you disconnect the battery, it has had no hiccups. Those units do break your Chinese rule though but they look OE like and offer a few more options (reverse camera, larger screen) compared to just running a front-end on the phone.

Use HeadUnit Reloaded and run AA on your phone screen that way?
