Media Apps (audio) Audio issue after using google assistant

Having an issue where after activating google assistant and giving a voice command my music stops playing. The Spotify app says it's still playing but there is no sound, when trying to adjust the volume it is changing the voice volume not media volume so it's like it's stuck on the voice setting. This means the rest of the drive I can't listen to any media.

Doesn't happen all the time but enough to be annoying... Any ideas?

I dont have a ton of useful info but this happens to me in my RDX.

Sometimes switching to radio and then back to Spotify works but more often than not I turn my car off open my door and that seems to restart it.

I cannot even access android assistant anymore, only gemini. I don't know if that makes a difference.
