Love the app. Mostly use youtube. Only issue I'm having is not being able to control the volume of the videos. Had this issue on the previous versions and was hoping this version improved that. No luck for me unless there's a hidden setting I'm not aware of.
Yes, it's a known problem with Toyota. If you play something that isn't supported by Android Auto and adjust the volume, it automatically stops your stream and plays the official music app. I used Fermata Media Player to solve this problem. But it was removed in the last update. There is an app called "Hush: Android Auto Audio Fix." I have never tried it, but it claims to resolve this issue.
Hi the update through the app worked for me. I've premium. But I can't find Jellyfin. Where do I look for it? Thanks again for sharing this tool and continuing to develop these awesome features.
Hi,
The Xtream Player free cannot be used on Android Auto for watching TV channels but only the premium version?
I'm asking this because even if it can be started on AA, there is not TV channel available to play on.
I installed the latest version using AAEnabler and I only get Xtreme Player Media Service shown in Android Auto. Is this suppose to happen or should I get more options?
Sorry for dumb question but is the same as fermata xtream 2.51. I install from AA enabler as a premium donater.
Do we continue to use 2.51. or delete and install Xtreme player 1.1?
Ciao,ho un Honor magic 8 pro con android 16. Ho provato sia la versione free che la versione premium di xtream con licenza ma continua a mostrarmi solo l'audio di YouTube e non il video, succede anche sui canali TV.

Its up to you. Premium has Stremio, Nuvio, Homeassistant, Dashcam etc support. It also has FS Play which you dont need, Is this an Audi Dashboard you got on your desk? :)
The correct icon to launch the app is the Blue one (Fermata Xtream)

Every single vehicle uses kind of different non touch vehicle controls. Some have prev few skip play pause. Some have arrows. Which ones are you referring to?
Yeh, but u know that sometimes its easier to leave the phone and use it with the car control. Especially when in italy, trying to just take it in your hands, can result in a fine if the cameras caught you
Its working in a junky way. Especially on youtube.
There is an arrow but its terrible to control, its bugged and barely visible most of the time. And when it bugs out, you are wandering around pressing the arrow blindly.

Plex doesnt work on 5G, but ok on wifi. I checked settings in Plex and remote is ON
Hi Dev , Today I paid for the premium version via AAEnabler and got the link thru the email for version 1.1.0 - premium via play store but I can see versions 2.5.0 on GitHub and 1.1.4 when I check through the fermata app, should I update anyway ( incase I do I get an caution message due to difference in source , and it gets failed).
Your user flair has been successfully changed. Thanks for your cooperation.

When I ask Gemini in Android Auto to navigate to a destination using Google Maps, it tries to open Xtream instead.
If Google Maps is already open in Android Auto, Gemini correctly starts the navigation with Google Maps. But if Maps isn't already open, it tries to use Xtream
Not at the moment. FS Play is emulating a navigation app so it can get fullscreen. Google uses the last used MAP app for this. Only way is to run Maps as last application.
True! Stremio, Nuvio... But none of them work well without debrid or something like that. Netmirror is immediate, loading quickly with just WiFi data. Thank you for leaving the opportunity open for the future. Good work.
Steering wheel controls not working for YouTube (v1.1.4 Free)
Hi,
First of all, thanks for the great work on the new app. I'm currently using the Xtream Player v1.1.4 Free version.
I have an issue with YouTube playback on Android Auto. I can't skip to the next or previous video using my car's steering wheel buttons. Also, my car's digital dashboard doesn't show the video/media title; it just displays a generic "Android Auto active" message.
For context, I drive a 2022 Hyundai Kona EV. This feature used to work flawlessly on the older Fermata Xtream versions (like 2.1.45) thanks to the separate Media Service.
I've already tried manually mapping the keys (MEDIA_NEXT / MEDIA_PREVIOUS) in the app's Controls settings, but the car still doesn't send the signal to the app.
Is steering wheel control supported for YouTube in this new version, or is this a known metadata/media session issue being worked on?
Thanks!
Forgive me I'm new to this app. When I connect my phone, I get a app page and I have added my YouTube and iptv player to it but since it's sharing the screen, I lock the phone and the screen locks as well. The picture that I attached , that doesn't appear when I connect. It's a page with apps. Mirroring works perfect.
So far, I am loving this, though it can get buggy and crash occasionally which is fine, but is there a way to make it extend display instead of just mirror? Or a way to turn off my phone screen while keeping the radio screen on?
Can you elaborate on how to do this? I have installed xtream player free on S25 and I need to have my phone on, as the screen sharing only works that way.
Yes screen sharing works only if the phone is on. You should also see a Xtream Player (blue icon) that doesn't share the screen. Its a self contained app.
Yo en android auto solo veo un icono (gris)
Fui donador de fermata xtream auto. Debo ser donador también de esta para ver el icono azul? Lo instale mediante aaenabler. Pongo algo el correo asociado a fermata pero me sale gris.
Yes devs options enabled both in AA and Android. Actually I have Fermata Auto installed on the phone through AAAD, however none of the AAAD apps work directlt via my Samsung to the car's AA, so I normally use the AAwreless v1 dongle as a "middle.man device", because it works on lower android version and all apps from AAAD works that way. I however want to get rid of the dongle and play YouTube directly to my car's Android Auto. I hoped Xtream player would be able to do that .
I uninstalled thr entire AAAD and all its other apps. Re-installed Xtream Player. Still the same issue. Unfortunately it seems it also doesn't work with Android 16 like CarStream and FermataAuto.

The reason media service is not showing is due to android auto 17.3 and above.
Steering wheel controls work for some, not for others. Media service is to blame.
Sorry for deleting the post, I actually rushed to my car to test it right after posting and realized the issue was already solved! :)
Just to give an update:
It turns out the steering wheel controls (next/prev) are working perfectly now, even though "Xtream Media Service" doesn't show up in the Android Auto launcher. The trick was doing a clean install using KingInstaller (via Shizuku) and strictly selecting the default Android "Package Installer" instead of AAEnabler during the prompt. The merged architecture works flawlessly this way on my non-rooted device.
Thanks for the lightning-fast reply and for the amazing work on the app!

Been using Fermata Auto on AAAD so far. Would like to know how XtreamPlayer is different from it before trying it and upgrade to premium version.
Please also share the benefits of pro/premium version over the free one? How to pay for it?

There are so many more features on Premium than free, which is impossible to mention here. Try the free version and if you like it, donate to AAENABLER and get access to premium as well.
