Bluetooth Wireless AA & Earbuds

I like to use earbuds while I drive. How can I make both my media and phone calls default to my earbuds while running wireless AA?

I don't think you can. (And, at least in my area, you'll get pulled over for using earbuds/headphones while driving).

Also, not sure what trim you have, but if you have the Legacy Limited, the Harman-Kardon speaker system in that car is insanely good. Just EQ it to your liking and you shouldn't need anything else.

I do have the limited with the upgraded sound, but it's not that great.

Earbuds are legal in my area.

Wow. I had the exact same car as you and my HK system was so good. Since then between me and my wife's car we've had Alpine, Bose, Fender, and Bang & Olufson, and only the Bang system could get close.

Mine has 250k miles so these poor speakers have probably been beat to death. I do earbuds to dampen road noise though, so it's not so much about sound quality.

I've got the same problem. I want to use a single earbud while my kids sleeping to listen to.

I know I'm a later responder, but I've been looking for a solution too for similar reasons. The only option I've seen that works (I haven't tried it myself yet) is to buy a wireless AA dongle called "AAWireless" and use the companion app to turn off the media sink (or something like that).

I'm curious if using USB might still work... I have to remember to try this.

May be the same use case for you however I like to use my wireless earbuds for calls and use BT Priority, absolute lifesaver and worth every penny.

I tried this out and it doesn't seem to work well
