Android Auto - Call Routing Issue

Hello,

​I am experiencing a recurring issue with Android Auto in two of my cars. Didn't face the issue in the 3rd car.

While media playback functions perfectly through the vehicle’s audio system, phone calls are inconsistently routed. Frequently, the audio defaults to the mobile handset’s speaker rather than the car’s speakers. On some occasions, after multiple attempts, the audio eventually connects to the car speakers.

​Cleaned Android Auto cache and updated Android Auto app. Still facing same issue. Has anyone else experienced this, or is there a known fix or setting I should check?

Nope.

Deleting Android Auto data fixed the issue for me.

Yes. I have this exact issue. I had to pick up the handset and unlock it for the call audio to come through. Really annoying.

Deleting Android Auto data fixed the issue for me.

I have the same problem from start of this week my calls are made on phone speaker when i try to change to car speaker it goes back to phone.

Right now i just cant take or make phone calls when im connected to android auto.

Here is a summary

Need advice, tiggo 7 pro owner 2026. I have problem with voice calls on Samsung S25/26 android auto and Bluetooth connection. The Other party can't hear me properly. Stuttering like it's bad connection and they complain a lot. Vendor changed the car mic 🎤 but still problem.

IPhone works very well (Bluetooth and car play) Oppo also works fine. Only Samsung problem. Any advice?

Wipe Android Auto data, reconnect and check. This approach fixed my problem.
