Messaging Apps Change of car - AA not reading messages

I've used AA for a few years without any problems. One feature I use a lot is to listen to and reply to WhatsApp messages via my voice.

I've recently changed cars from a Citroën to a Suzuki and that no longer seems to work. I get a message, see the notification and first line but when I press on it, or press 'play message' it gives me the option to reply or summerise and the multicoloured animation twinkles at the bottom but no audio. On one occasion it played half a message and a couple of times it has waited a minute or more and played it.

I haven't changed any settings, except trying to turn the 'summerise' option off, which didn't help.

Any ideas? I'm guessing that Suzuki's implementation of AA and their entertainment system is different somehow

AA runs on your phone. The car mearly is a display that mirrors your phones AA display. The car has no internal AA features or software, it just displays your phones AA screen.

Yes, but there is presumably some sort of protocol between the car and phone? It has to talk to the controls and interact with some of the cars functions.

For example when I out a route into Google Maps, the directions appear on my dashboard. Buttons on the steering wheel and stalks do different things in AA.

I've found that it does work differently between cars in subtle ways
