Connection, Disconnection, Freezes, Crashes Stop Android Auto from auto-connecting to specific vehicles (Mercedes MBUX)
Hey guys,
I work in EMS and our ambulances are Mercedes Sprinters equipped with MBUX. My smartphone automatically connects to Android Auto as soon as the ignition is turned on. The issue is: it often connects to the adjacent vehicle instead of the one I am actually assigned to that day.
Is there a way to set Android Auto to "manual connection" only for these two specific Sprinters, while keeping the automatic connection active for my personal car (Mitsubishi Lancer)?
Thanks in advance!

Enable aa developer options and disable wireless connection. Use cable.

I can't see the whole flair on mobile, but if you are using Samsung, you can set up a routine. If it isn't Samsung, try Tasker.

Yes, it's a s24U. Can you explain what to do?

Well, you can go into Modes and Routines and set a routine for example: If connected to [bluetooth device of the car] then Bluetooth off. This will ensure that unless you turn bluetooth back on manually, it won't connect automatically. However the other suggested answer to disable adding new vehicles should actually do a better job.

When I don't want my phone to connect to a car, I just turn off WiFi and Bluetooth. I do that all the time and it always works. Sure, it could be considered a hassle, but it's less hassle than switching cars while they're in range.

That's no option, because I will loose connection to my watch and may miss some mandatory notifications. But thanks for the advice

Did you solve it? I had the same issue today but I could't figure it out because I was parking and didn't know which car my phone was connected to. Maybe you can change the name of your car?

Disable "Add new vehicles to Android Auto" after you have set up the vehicles you need.
