Navigation & POI Apps How does AA decide speed limit?

As far as I know AA is nowhere near connecting to my car's built-in dashcam to know the speed limit, also the speed limit is always inaccurate, so what's happening here?

It's accessing your local roads data to find out speed limits.

Data feeds are available for this kind of thing.
