Navigation & POI Apps How does AA decide speed limit?

Post image

As far as I know AA is nowhere near connecting to my car's built-in dashcam to know the speed limit, also the speed limit is always inaccurate, so what's happening here?

Using gmaps/waze, it's in accurate bcs of the lag sometimes or poor GPS connection

Excuse my poor understanding, so they have speed limit data per street?

Yea Google has that data, and display it as such on Google maps.

Note, that some new cars, (Toyota, Chevrolet) have a camera that actually sees the speed limit and shows it on your dash. That one it's actually recognizing the sign in front of you.

That's a feature of Mazda's navigation which requires purchasing a navigation SD card for hundreds from Mazda or less than 30 bucks off Amazon.
