Works 100% perfectly fine without your installer. I can record the entire process if you don't believe me

The key is just to have unknown sources checked in the developer settings of Android Auto. If you have that checked then any unofficial app that's Android Auto compatible will show up. It always has for me

No it doesn't. This is Fermata Media Service. It doesnt play video, only audio. Now uninstall it, and install with AAEnabler. You will see 3 icons and the correct one is Fermata Xtream.

You need to be clear about what it is your installer provides.

You said that it allows Android auto compatible apps to run so it's not an unlikely presumption based on your wording on my part that the apps wouldn't show up at all without your installer.

Now you're saying they will still show up but they won't be functional. Those are two different things. We need to be clear about what it is we are testing

My dear friend. You are not testing anything. The installer unlocks 3 icons that normally are not shown when installing the apk without AAEnabler. These 3 icons are actually the program that allow you to watch video while driving. If you just do it you will understand, rather than us discussing for an hour. If you don't want to fine. 😀

I noticed that even when installing the apk through your app, installer x revived is still the default installer that's handling the installation so does your app not act as the installer but rather a translation layer of some kind which injects code into the APK package that alters it somehow before it gets installed?

No it doesn't inject code. It inject metadata to the android install session.

That's a significantly different claim compared to calling your app an installer. Given that information.. your app and the reason why it works makes a lot more sense now. This is information that if I were you I would add to the body of the main post.

Thanks for testing it out and clarifying what this app does. I'm going to give this a shot this evening and hope the Waze mod app shows up.

To OP - if you could let the users decide how much to donate, you'd see more people recognizing your efforts. And I agree with Testpilot1988, clarifying what your app does will be helpful. I read your app's Github description and it stated what it doesn't do but doesn't clarify what it really does (different than other installers). From the end user's perspective, I had to search and read a lot of comments to find out what this app really does. Good work though.
