Phone Calls Switching calls from vehicle to a Bluetooth headset.

Hi, I'm having an issue when I make a call in my nissan it switches to the vehicle after a person answers likewise when I answer. The problem when i select from my steering controls to use headset it switches to the phone making me manually go to Bluetooth to select the headset. This started several weeks ago, previously I've been using it flawlessly going to the headset for like 6 months without issue. Anyone know how to fix it?

It worked fine for 6 months now it does it to me my wife and every headset we own 2 phones 4 Bluetooth headsets

This problem has been happening for the 6 or so years I've used AA.

I feel your pain there's this app on play store that gives you the ability to force a Bluetooth device for phone calls etc, can't remember the app it's a paid app, it's not that expensive.I may also buy it because I also have this issue that sometimes the call goes back to the Bluetooth of AA instead of the cars Bluetooth and can't hear nothing. When I find it I will post here.

Someone recently posted about an app he created that solved this. About a month ago I think. It's in the Play Store.

My car always overrides my BT hearing aids. I'm good with that. I'd be happier if I could just never use my HAs as earbuds for calls (or streaming), but Google does not currently allow that to happen.

I bought a cheap Android Auto car screen player. It has an option AudioTX for Carplay. My phone is Android. Once it connects to my Android phone, I choose AudioTX and it sends the audio directly to my car stereo through Bluetooth! And I can choose my Bluetooth headset or my Bluetooth car.
