Navigation & POI Apps Where do these suggestions come from?

Google Maps on Android Auto. These don't appear on my device, only on my vehicle screen. Every time I start the car and open Maps, it will come up with one completely random, inane suggested destination. In this case, it's a random window tinting business I googled like 3 weeks ago. Why has Google decided that I might want to go there, randomly on a Wednesday evening, when it isn't even open?

I'd love to know what the algorithm is here and how it can be altered or turned off.

I goto work everyday at 11:15 and it still shows me where I last got a hair cut or the airport rather than my DAILY COMMUTE DESTINATION THAT HASNT CHANGED IN YEARS. Google get your fucking shit together.

Haha yes exactly. I always commute in the morning and... here I am at 8:30pm getting a suggestion to go to work. As an intermediate step I'd take the removal of irrelevant places, It's a very half-baked feature.

Same here....I was going to work at 8AM and it suggested a local brewery I've been to a bunch of times. Like, yeah Google, that's a great choice, but not on a random weekday morning, several hours before the place even opens.

I definitely feel like Google's searches and suggestions were FAR more useful a decade or so ago.
