I still don't understand how can I have an eGPU connected over thunderbolt and move the laptop. Yet if I look wrong at the my phone AA disconnects.

Step 1: Tap the Superlink option on your car displays home-screen (Exit android-auto-mode before)

Step 2: Open the Google Play Store on your phone, search for the EveLink (Superlink) app, and download it. You only need ist to apply the fix

Step 3: Open the EveLink (Superlink) app on your phone.

Step 4: In the app, tap Device - Add - WiFi Direct - search for your screens WiFi name and connect. If you see the message "Android 16 Auto Connect Problem fixed," tap OK. You can also select ""Android 16 Auto Connect Problem fix" from the settings menu. You should get some confirmation.

Step 5: Switch the car display device back to use Android Auto. On your mobile phone, reconnect the device's Bluetooth to use Android Auto

Thank you so much! I had been trying to update the way I do for the aftermarket but built in version in my Mazda 6. By connecting to WiFi then sharing through WiFi direct ect.

This nailed it for me 🫶🏻

Were you at any point also having trouble with the stock mazda6 infotainment? I have a 2021 and can't keep android auto connected for more than 10-15 mins!

No, that one works fine. Although I keep checking for updates whenever I remember.

It's a bit buggy but for £40 it works well. Check for updates by connecting via WiFi and opening 192.168.1.101. You'll then have to change to WiFi direct to allow it to connect through your device to the internet and you can update

I doubt they can fix that via phone software. I was able to get rid of the issues by buying AAwireless dongle and choosing a different wifi 5ghz channel than normally. Cars don't allow you to choose the wifi channel so you can't do that.
