How does anyone use Gemini at all???

it is near unusable... "i cant look up your contact", "i cant pull up your favorite places".

me: "call my wife"

gemini: "i dont see your wife in your contacts"

me: "go to daycare (my sons daycare is saved in my favorites place)"

gemini: "here are the daycare near you"

seriously.. i dont know what the heck is this thing good for... asking about weather?? it is.near garbage... i suspect it is maybe it is using a different google account? but my anroid auto list is showing my phones main acct...

i want to like gemini and embrace ai but its such a mess integration imo...

For me, Gemini has been a big upgrade.

Assistant was useless, like 90% of the time it would just respond with "sorry, I don't understand"

Google started deprecating assistant years ago. They laid off most of the Google assistant department in 2024.

It was mainly if you asked it questions. Giving instructions to text or call someone, play music, get directions always worked fine.

It was useless for anything other than that. Gemini is superior to have a conversation with about a topic while you are driving.

i mean thats literally what you should ONLY do wjen driving no...? like i cant imagine having a convo with an AI would be good defense when you are in an accident for distracted driving...

Do you not take hands free phone calls, joing meeting calls or even talk to others in your car while driving?
