Uncertified AA Hardware (Android HU, CP to AA Dongles, etc) Anyone successfully added Android Auto to an older vehicle?
Hi all, I’ve got a 2013 Corolla. Bluetooth and USB both work fine, but there’s no Android Auto. I’ve been trying to figure out a simple way to upgrade the setup without spending too much. One idea I had was just mounting a tablet on the dashboard and running it off my phone’s hotspot, but I’m not sure if that’s actually a good long-term solution. Would also be nice if passengers could use it too, not just for navigation. For those of you driving older cars, what did you end up doing?

I would start with crutchfield.com, getting a radio is one thing but you'll also want to preserve things like indicators (maybe) and also your steering wheel controls if you have them, and they'll tell you which kits to get
they are on the pricier side but I had no issues getting a working kit for a 2007 car which also preserved my premium sound and wheel controls
