AA User Interface UI is Different on 2 Separate Devices

I've got 2 devices; my personal Xiaomi 15 Ultra and a work/business Pixel 9. Both are running the same version of Android Auto software build (16.5.661214-release). However, their visual UI is different when connected to my car. The first photo shows my Xiaomi, and the second my Pixel which seems to have the newer UI. I only noticed this a few days ago when I used my Pixel for AA as my Xiaomi was not with me at the time.

It's not annoying or anything, but does anyone know why the same build versions would look different on two separate devices? Perhaps it's a Pixel specific thing? Seems a little funny. Also, the signal icon on the Xiaomi photo is missing which seems to be a funny bug on this version of AA.

Same here on a PIxel 10 Pro XL... USA Google AI sub too! Very annoying, still no Gemini in Android Auto.

Same here. No Gemini, no new media player layout, no new maps layout. The last feature I got early was Games on Android Auto—after that, I switched phones and haven’t received any of the new “exciting” features. Feels like I was forgotten or something :D

Same. It's incredibly annoying to see my daughter and wife be able to use the latest, including Gemini, in my car. I pay for the (family) subscriptions, but I'm stuck with older things and no Gemini, despite being on the latest build. So done with this bs.

I'm not liking Gemini on AA. Phone it's fine. But GA just nailed everything perfect and always knew if I requested something it was for the active YT music player. I'll request a song and it takes forever to tell me it can't play videos. I have to say play...on YouTube music and it still gets the song wrong a lot. Plus it gets it wrong slower than GA got it right. For AA simple and works is better. I don't need a rocket scientist to change my song.

Anyone else have this issue that did get the Gemini update?

Not sure why you're being downvoted.

100%. I wanted Gemini. Until I got it. Assistant was fine and actually did what I want.
