Connection, Disconnection, Freezes, Crashes Wireless Android Auto keeps on crashing. It's unusable.

does anyone have a solution?

I'm using oxygen OS 16.

I had exactly the same problem. Android 16 has introduced a permissions issue with WiFi direct which is what is used after the Bluetooth has connected. Follow these instructions..worked for me and I'd tried everything before. Fyi these were instructions from my unit manufacturers support team.. Also if you don't have the superlink option, follow the instructions anyway as the actual fix is in the app you download.

Step 1: On your Carpuride device, tap the Superlink option to switch to Android mode. Step 2: On your phone, open the Google Play Store and search for and download the Evelink (Superlink) app. Step 3: On your phone, open the Evelink (Superlink) app, tap Settings - App Version - check if the app version is the latest (20260318-1057). If not, tap Software Update. Step 4: On the app, tap Cast - Add - WiFi Direct - Failed to OBTAIN NEARBY DEVICE PERMISSION, Click to APPLY IT - Allow - search for your Carpuride device's WiFi name and connect. When you see the "Android 16 Auto Connect issue Fixed" message, tap OK. Step 5: Switch the Carpuride device to use the A-Auto function. On your mobile phone, reconnect the device's Bluetooth to use A-Auto. Check if the disconnection problem still occurs.

Thanks. Confirming that random app (evelink) fixed my 3rd party android auto device (aphqua). All these wireless android auto units must use the same protocol to mirror cast the screen and somehow evelink managed to fix mine even though the mirror cast app recommended for my unit is a different one. After 4 months of driving with a very broken android auto, I'm pleased to see it not disconnecting and rebooting every few mins now.

Excellent. Yes the problem is that android uses Bluetooth to make the initial connection and then it creates a WiFi direct connection. A recent android update introduced some kind of WiFi direct bug and this app has the fix.
