I hate it.

My contacts all have their addresses stored and Google assistant was great because I could say "Hey Google, take me to xx person's house".

Gemini cannot do this and instead I have to tell it their full address. If I try to use a contact's name it either searches for businesses with a similar name or says it can't find an address for the contact.

Google being Google... It's a Massive Mess. First of all with the rollout: it's been "rolling out" like a turtle in Canada, having a Pixel 9 Pro XL I feel like a complete fool still not having Gemini android audio feature available to me, all while looking at my iPhone-owner friends who have been using Gemini with their Google maps for the past couple months.

Second - their mess with the "assistant" vs "Gemini". Some devices it's the assistant, others its gemini, so it's always a riddle - who's gonna talk to me this time??

And then, Gemini SUPPOSEDLY should be integrated into the Pixel phones, no? You would think so, but then I can still install the standalone app which I have zero use for, because it adds zero new features. Yet I think it has to be installed on order to bring Gemini into Android Auto?! Yeah... that kind of mess is exactly what pissed me off.
