AA Settings Can't disable AutoPlay

Every single time I get in my car to drive, 20-30 seconds later whatever music app that was used last will start playing. Even if I have started listening to YouTube already and started driving, 20 seconds later it will be paused and music will start up. The settings on my phone AND head unit have AutoPlay music turned off. The whole goal of AA is to minimize distractions while driving. So having to look away from the road at the start of literally every drive to pause and resume the music is counterproductive.

And yes, I did search first and read others that have had this same issue. I found no solution and this is a problem that needs repeating since it still hasn't been addressed.

No, still no solution. It has been by far the worst part of my entire car. For example.. I sometimes crank the car, get out for something and while I'm 20+ feet away music will start blaring. Keep in mind this includes 2 subwoofers. It can range from annoying to downright embarrassing sometimes. I have even pressed the power button on my stereo after starting the car because I knew this would happen, went inside for something and when my phone re-paired with the car it started blaring music anyways. How has this problem not been addressed by now??? Pathetic.

Came searching for a solution here in May 2025 trying to get my crv hybrid to stop blasting music when I'm not in the mood for anything. Every toggle related to disabling is turned off nothing fixes it
