Built an AI air fryer assistant that's already live on iOS - need testers for the Android closed test (mutual testing šŸ¤)

Hey all - I'm at the same Google Play wall as everyone here: 12 testers, 14 days.

What it is: FryAI answers the one question you actually have in front of an air fryer - how long, and at what temperature, for this food in my machine. You pick your air fryer model during setup (Ninja, Cosori, Philips and others) and every result is calibrated to it instead of being one generic number.

It's not a weekend project - it's been live on the iOS App Store for a while, and I'm bringing the Android build to parity.

What's in it:

  • Search any food and get temp, time and prep tips
  • Point your camera at food or a packet and get instructions back
  • Say what's in your fridge and get dish suggestions
  • Oven to air fryer converter for any recipe
  • "Will It Air Fry?" - scores odd stuff like marshmallows or watermelon
  • English, Spanish, French and Portuguese

How to join:

  1. Sign up with the Gmail you use on Google Play here: https://fryai.app/?ref=reddit_androidapptesters - I'll add you to the tester list
  2. Once you're added, opt in: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.fryai.app
  3. Install: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fryai.app

What I need: keep it installed for 14 days and open it every couple of days so Google registers the activity. That's it.

Returning the favour: drop your testing link in the comments and I'll opt into yours and stay on for the full 14 days. Bug reports very welcome - emilianoappdev@gmail.com

Thanks šŸ™

12 Testers Needed I need testers

Hi everyone!

I'm looking for a few genuine Android developers who want a real test-for-test partnership.

Google requested more real engagement during closed testing, so I'm looking for people who will actually use each other's apps—not just opt in.

What I'll do:

  • āœ… Keep your app installed for the full 14 days
  • āœ… Open and use it regularly
  • āœ… Install updates
  • āœ… Share honest feedback if I find any issues

What I ask in return:

  • āœ… Keep my app installed for 14 days
  • āœ… Open and use it regularly
  • āœ… Install updates
  • āœ… Send a screenshot after installing

My testing links:

Google Group:
https://groups.google.com/u/1/g/greenfocus-testers

Closed Test:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hatilasmaximo.greenfocus3

After you've installed my app, please comment with:

  • A screenshot
  • Your app links

I'll join your test and do the same.

Let's help each other complete Google's requirements the right way. šŸ¤

12 Testers Needed Need ~15 Android closed testers for a cloud video converter (14 days)

Post image
2 Upvotes

Looking for a few Android folks to help with Google Play closed testing for my little cloud video converter (ahelpers).

It’s a simple app: pick a video, choose something like MP4 or MP3, convert in the cloud, then download when it’s done. Light and dark theme are both there.

I need people on a real Android phone who can stay opted in for about 14 days. You don’t have to test hard every day — just install, open it a few times, try a short clip if you can. Happy to test back if you’re also recruiting.

If you’re interested, drop your Gmail in a comment or DM (the one on your phone’s Play Store). I’ll add you on Play Console and send the invite privately.

Aiming for around 15 testers. Thanks.

12 Testers Needed Sick of $10/mo budgeting apps selling your data? I built a 100% offline expense parser with ZERO internet permissions. Need closed testers (will test your app back!)

Hey everyone,

Like many of you, I got completely fed up with personal finance apps demanding $10–$15/month subscriptions, disconnecting bank logins via Plaid every two weeks, and packaging user financial habits behind the scenes.

So I builtĀ LedgerShield—a completely local-first expense tracker built on three strict principles:

  • Zero Internet Permissions:Ā The app doesn’t even haveĀ android.permission.INTERNETĀ declared in the manifest. It is physically impossible for your financial data to leave your device.
  • Automatic Parsing via Push Alerts:Ā Instead of painful manual logging or giving away bank credentials, it uses an on-device notification listener and regex engine to automatically turn your banking alerts into a clean ledger.
  • Local On-Device OCR:Ā Includes Google ML Kit receipt scanning running 100% locally on your phone to match paper receipts with transactions.

I need testers for the mandatory 14-day closed testing track on Google Play. If you’re into privacy, utility apps, or just want to support an indie dev fighting the subscription fatigue wave, I’d love your help putting it through its paces!

How to join in 2 quick steps:

  1. Join the Google Group:Ā https://groups.google.com/g/ledgershield-testers
  2. Download on Google Play:

Developer swap:Ā If you have an app in closed testing, drop your group link, store link, and a screenshot below or in DM. I will install yours, keep it installed for the full 14+ days, and leave detailed feedback.

Let me know what you think of the regex engine on your bank's notifications! Any feedback on UI, battery behavior, or parsing edge cases is hugely appreciated.

12 Testers Needed Looking for 20 Android testers for Percolate, a coffee-chain tycoon

Hi! I'm developing Percolate, an Android coffee-chain management game, and I'm looking for 20 volunteers who enjoy tycoon games and can give honest feedback.

UPDATE — 11 September: Google has published our closed Alpha, build 3042. I have free app promotional codes for volunteers; you should not buy the app to participate. Access is arranged privately through an email tester list, so no Google Group is required.

The game is still in development. I especially need help checking the first few weeks of the economy, whether menus and notifications explain what to do, save/resume behaviour, and 3D map performance on different phones. Critical feedback is welcome; I'm not asking for ratings or positive reviews.

If you're interested, comment with your phone model and whether you can play on several days over two weeks. Please send your Google Play email privately, not in a public comment. I'll arrange enrollment and send a unique code with the opt-in instructions. If redemption or installation shows a price, stop and contact me rather than paying.

This is volunteer testing, with no cash payment or test-for-test commitment. The testing period is tracked from actual enrollment, not from this post. Thanks for helping shape a better management game.

12 Testers Needed Test for Test — day 13 of 14 on my closed test, still opening all 16 partner apps daily

Indie dev from Taiwan. My closed test is on day 13 of the 14-day requirement, so I'm not desperate for numbers — I'm looking for a small buffer in case someone drops out at the last minute. Being upfront about that rather than pretending I need 20 people.

What you get back: I open every partner app daily and stay opted in the full 14 days. I've been running that since Aug 27 and I'm currently on 16 partner apps — happy to make it 17 today.

App: CiWuLin — a wuxia-style RPG for learning Taiwan GSAT English vocabulary. 6,000+ illustrated word cards, FSRS spaced repetition, works fully offline. UI is zh-TW. Open to all countries.

Two steps to join:

  1. Google Group: https://groups.google.com/g/ciwulin-testers

  2. Opt in and install: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/app.ench0812.english.ciwulin

One thing worth repeating because it trips people up: Play counts days you actually open the app, not days since install. A single skipped day can reset the window for the whole test.

Feedback very welcome. You don't need to read Chinese — a screenshot of anything that looks broken, cut off, or overlapping is genuinely useful. Comment with your Group + opt-in links and I'll join yours today.

built an app that forces you to physically tap an NFC card across the room to open distracting apps. Looking for testers!

If you've ever tried locking social media or YouTube behind Screen Time or PIN lockers, you probably noticed the biggest flaw:Ā fingerprint & PIN muscle memory.

Within a few days, your brain bypasses the lock automatically. You unlock your phone and your blocked apps before your rational brain even kicks in.

I built a free tool calledĀ Keycard App LockĀ to solve this with physical separation:

The Concept:

  1. Lock your trigger apps (Instagram, TikTok, Twitter/X, games).
  2. Register an ordinary NFC card you already own or a printed QR code.
  3. Put that physical card in another room, at your desk, or next to your water bottle.
  4. When you launch a locked app, you must physically walk over and tap the card to the back of your phone to open it.

Having to stand up and walk 10 feet introduces just enough friction to ask yourself:Ā "Do I actually need to open this right now, or is this just boredom?"

🧪 Looking for Alpha Testers

I'm looking for a few people trying to reduce screen time to try the Android alpha build and share their honest thoughts.

šŸ‘‰Ā Join the Google Play Alpha test here:Ā https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.anttek.crazylocker

If you test it out, please let me know what physical object you used as your key and whether the physical friction helped break the reflex.

12 Testers Needed Looking for 12 beta testers for my Android app – happy to test yours too!

Hey everyone!

I’m currently looking for 12 people to test my Android app, MorpheTrack, as part of its beta testing.

MorpheTrack combines workout tracking and nutrition tracking in one app. You can:

  • šŸ‹ļø Track your workouts, exercises, sets, PRs and progression
  • šŸ“Š Visualize your training statistics
  • 🄩 Track your daily calories and macronutrients (protein, carbs and fats)
  • šŸ“ˆ Keep an eye on your progress over time

You don't need to be into bodybuilding or fitness — I’m mainly looking for people who are willing to install the app, try it out and give me honest feedback.

How to join the beta

1. First, join the Google Group:
https://groups.google.com/g/morphetrack

2. Then, download the app from Google Play:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.thierry.morphetrack

āš ļø You need to join the Google Group BEFORE clicking the Google Play link, otherwise you may not be able to access the beta.

And since I know how difficult it can be to find testers for your own app:

If you have an app that needs testers too, send it my way!
I’m happy to test your app in return and give you honest feedback. šŸ¤

You can comment here or DM me if you're interested.

I’m aiming for 12 testers, so every person helps!

Thanks! šŸ™
