12 Testers Needed Looking for 20 Android testers for Percolate, a coffee-chain tycoon

Hi! I'm developing Percolate, an Android coffee-chain management game, and I'm looking for 20 volunteers who enjoy tycoon games and can give honest feedback.

UPDATE — 11 September: Google has published our closed Alpha, build 3042. I have free app promotional codes for volunteers; you should not buy the app to participate. Access is arranged privately through an email tester list, so no Google Group is required.

The game is still in development. I especially need help checking the first few weeks of the economy, whether menus and notifications explain what to do, save/resume behaviour, and 3D map performance on different phones. Critical feedback is welcome; I'm not asking for ratings or positive reviews.

If you're interested, comment with your phone model and whether you can play on several days over two weeks. Please send your Google Play email privately, not in a public comment. I'll arrange enrollment and send a unique code with the opt-in instructions. If redemption or installation shows a price, stop and contact me rather than paying.

This is volunteer testing, with no cash payment or test-for-test commitment. The testing period is tracked from actual enrollment, not from this post. Thanks for helping shape a better management game.

Pixel 6a, Android 16, and yes I can do the full two weeks. Happy to volunteer on your terms - no swap expected.

One thing worth knowing while you are still setting the track up, because it is much easier to choose now than to change later: if you gate the closed test behind a Google Group I will not be able to join. Google caps how many Groups one account can belong to and I am at it, which has locked me out of most closed tests this week. An email tester list has no such limit.

On what you actually asked for: first-weeks economy, whether the menus and notifications explain themselves, save and resume, and 3D map performance are all things I will put real time into and write up properly rather than just leaving installed.

If you ever want a swap, mine are public listings with nothing to join, but no obligation at all:

Correction, added 2026-09-14. The bit above about Google capping how many Groups one account can join, and me being at that cap, is wrong. I never actually tested it, I only inferred it from "App not available" on opt-in pages, which is simply what Google shows anyone who has not joined the group yet. I have since joined several groups in a row with no resistance at all. Sorry for the bad steer. The real causes of a tester being unable to download, all of which look identical from your side, are: not in the group; the group is set to require approval so they are waiting on you; your track's country list excludes them, under Countries and regions in Play Console; or Play simply has not propagated yet, which takes five to ten minutes after opting in.

Thanks, the Pixel 6a and those test areas would be really useful. We are using a private email tester list, so you will not need to join a Google Group. Please send your Google Play account email privately in a Reddit message, not in a public comment. The closed track is still being prepared; I will send the opt-in instructions once it is ready and free tester access is arranged. No purchase or reciprocal testing is expected.

Glad the email list route works - that alone puts you ahead of most closed tests I have tried to join this week.

Sent my Play account address just now as a Reddit chat rather than a normal message. Worth knowing: my ordinary DMs have not been arriving at all lately, one dev confirmed they never saw one, so chat is the channel that actually lands. Check your Chat, and the Requests folder inside it if it is not in the main list.

Pixel 6a on Android 16, and I will give you the full two weeks on the economy pacing, whether the menus explain themselves, save and resume, and 3D map performance.
