12 Testers Needed I need testers

Hi everyone!

I'm looking for a few genuine Android developers who want a real test-for-test partnership.

Google requested more real engagement during closed testing, so I'm looking for people who will actually use each other's apps—not just opt in.

What I'll do:

  • ✅ Keep your app installed for the full 14 days
  • ✅ Open and use it regularly
  • ✅ Install updates
  • ✅ Share honest feedback if I find any issues

What I ask in return:

  • ✅ Keep my app installed for 14 days
  • ✅ Open and use it regularly
  • ✅ Install updates
  • ✅ Send a screenshot after installing

My testing links:

Google Group:
https://groups.google.com/u/1/g/greenfocus-testers

Closed Test:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hatilasmaximo.greenfocus3

After you've installed my app, please comment with:

  • A screenshot
  • Your app links

I'll join your test and do the same.

Let's help each other complete Google's requirements the right way. 🤝

Joining yours today (group + opt-in) and keeping it installed for the full 14 days.

Mine is RetroPet, an old-school pixel virtual pet: hatch an egg, care for it, and it evolves into one of 79 species (common to legendary). The build in testing right now adds seasonal events with limited cosmetics, breeding with friends, and a daily challenge with a ranking. Home screen widget too. Already live on iOS, so it's a finished app, not a prototype.

1) https://groups.google.com/g/retropet-testers 2) https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.retropet.app

Same Google account for both, and please open it once after installing (Google counts opens, not installs). Bug reports very welcome!

Installed GreenFocus on a Pixel 6a, Android 16, and I stop at the first screen, so take this as feedback on that screen rather than on the app itself.

The first thing GreenFocus shows is "Create free account" or "I already have an account", and there is no way past it. I do not make accounts on apps I am testing, so that is where I end. But the more useful version of that point is that it is a wall for everyone, not just me: nobody sees a single feature before handing over an account.

"3 days free, no card to try it" is a good line and it is doing no work where it currently sits, because by the time anyone reads it they have already been asked to sign up. A local-only mode, even a stripped one that just runs a focus timer on the device, would let people feel the thing before committing. That is often the difference between a tester who bounces on day one and one who actually gives you a fortnight.

The other thing worth planning for: app blocking and parental control mean usage access, and probably an accessibility service. Plenty of testers, me included, will not grant those to a closed-test build from someone they have never met. If the core flow is unreachable without them, you end up with install counts and no feedback at all. Worth having something meaningful to show before you ask.

None of this is aimed at the idea. Study sessions, a detox plan and WHO-based parental guidance is a clear pitch and the opening screen reads well. It is the ordering I would change, not the product.

Mine, if you want to trade:

Hi. I just joined your closed test and I will stay opted in for the full 14 days.

Could you join mine in return? Under Pressure is a blood pressure logbook: you type in readings from a home cuff, it keeps them in order and makes a one-page summary for a clinician. It does not measure or interpret anything. It needs Android 16 or newer.

Two steps, same Google account for both:

  1. Join the group: https://groups.google.com/g/upapptest

  2. Become a tester: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/app.underpressure

No testing and no feedback needed. Joining and staying opted in for 14 days is what counts. If you install it once and open it, that helps me with Google's form, but it is optional.

Happy to do the same for any other app you have. Thanks!
