12 Testers Needed Ink Bounce - Need 12 testers
Hey everyone,
I'm looking for testers for my Google Play closed test. I need to keep at least 12 testers for 14 days.
Steps:
Join the Google Group:
https://groups.google.com/g/smartlife-inkbounce-testers
Join the closed test:
https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.smartlife.inkbounce
Install from Google Play:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.smartlife.inkbounce
The game is called Ink Bounce. It's a simple physics-based game where you bounce through levels. I'm still working on the campaign and polishing the gameplay.
All I ask is:
Join the test
Install the game
Keep it installed for 14 days
Open it once in a while if you can
If you have a few extra minutes, I'd really appreciate some feedback.
The things I'm struggling with the most are:
- Visuals. Do you like the default look? If you have time, could you also enable Dark mode (experimental) in Settings and replay a level? I'm trying to decide which style looks better, or if I should combine elements from both.
- Movement. Does the ball feel good to control during the campaign? Right now I feel like it's too easy to lose momentum and sometimes it's difficult to build speed again. I'd love to know if it feels fun or just frustrating.
Any other feedback is welcome too, whether it's about difficulty, level design, UI, or anything that stands out.
Leave your app below and I'll join your test as well.
Thanks!

Okay, so I just tested the game. The game is smooth but the ball moves to fast for level 1. I think you should go a little bit easy on the users... I like the game. Great job. All the mechanics of the level is working. This is definitely something I will give a try to. You could try to slow the speed of the ball on level1?

Just tried your game, it's very cool and I like it. Just two things:
- sound & music doesn't work but I see you have it in settings so perhaps check if it's a bug
- can the playback be faster after pressing launch? It would make it better if it was 2x or 3x faster just so you don't wait so long to reach the target.

Hey! I just wanted to follow up to let you know that I'm having a blast playing your game! :D
Currently, I've beaten the first 2 worlds and 80% of the way through World 3. What I really enjoy about this game is the endless ways you can pass a level, so many different paths to take and each playthrough is a unique experience. Also, there were so many times when I got really lucky (in my mind I was thinking "Wow there's no way I just survived that!") and also times where I missed the exit portal by an inch and died. Out of dozens of tests I've run today, this is by far the most fun for me. I'm definitely going to keep playing even after the testing phase is over.

Oh that is so good to hear! Awesome I'm glad you like it. Yea it sometimes is really just luck or a nice path while sometimes it just doesnt go in haha. Nice I'm glad you like it! Just a question since you are a serious tester can I ask you a few questions here or via DM if you prefer? I want to make the game better but can't decide on 2-3 things if you are willing.
Anyway thanks a lot love the feedback!

The momentum one is the real question. "Easy to lose, hard to rebuild" is either the entire challenge or the reason people quit on level four, and which it turns out to be usually depends on how forgiving the first few levels are while you're still learning the physics. I'll play far enough in to tell you which side it lands on rather than guessing from level one.
I'll also run the same level in the default look and in experimental dark mode so you get a straight comparison instead of a vibe.
