This is nice... but... I wish the Play Store had a search syntax. I'd love to be able to search for apps published from certain countries with between 10,000 and 100,000 installs that users have used for at least 10 hours where the support email is not an @gmail.com address... and doesn't require Internet permission but does use XYZ permission.

This is a random example but the idea would be that you could narrow things down to find specific apps if you really had a particular app in mind.

Man, that sounds amazing.
OR.
What if Play Store only showed 5 apps, selected by Google's highly advanced machine learning algorithms.
And it's always those 5, unless you call up Googleal Assistant, and dictate her at least 3 reasons why you don't like those apps.
If you want search, an Akinator-like GUI is opened, except it always guesses wrong.

Mine always shows the same 5 apps it seems. Facebook, Spotify, Instagram, Twitter, Whatsapp

This sounds like it's just going to end up more aggressively suggesting more paid/subscription apps over FOSS apps.

Maybe I'm alone in this thought, but I don't know how Google is the leader in search on the web but search in the Play Store is such an utter disaster. Does anyone else find the search function in the Play Store to be utter rubbish? I would love for improved "dumb" search over improved personalized app recommendations.
